Application for Handicrafts Award

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANTS

1. Eligibility of Shilp Guru Award :
   Any master craftsperson residing in India who is either a National Awardee or a State Awardee of exceptional standing or master craftsperson of extraordinary skills and having immense contribution to handicrafts sector and who is not below the age of 50 years with 20 years of experience as on 31st December of previous year in the field is eligible for the Award provided he/she has contributed significantly to promote the crafts dissemination for the same and his/her skill level. Each Award consists of cash prize of Rs.2.00 lakhs, one mounted gold coin, one shawl, a certificate and one Tamrapatra.
   
2. Eligibility for National Award:
   A Craftsperson who is a citizen of india residing in the country,above 30 years of age & has at least 10 years' experience in their craft can apply for the National Award. Each Award consists of a cash prize of Rs. 1.00 lakh, a shawl, a certificate and a Tamraptra.
3. Eligibility for Design Innovation Award:
   A group of designers and craft persons( citizens and residents of India) is eligible to submit their entries. The design innovation award consists of cash price of 10.00 lakhs, 8.00 lakhs, 6.00 lakhs for the first, second and third place respectively to be shared between the concerned designers and artisans.
4. Guidlelines:
   
   1. Candidate must go through the guidelines thoroughly (available on website www.Handicrafts.nic.in) and ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria.
   2.  Applicants may keep the following documents ready before applying:
      a) Scanned copy of all essential documents/experience certificate etc as required. (PDF Format, Size 4MB).
      b) Scanned copy of photographs & signature/left hand thumb impression in Blue Ink. (In PDF/JPEG, Size 100-150 KB).
      c) Video of the process of making the craft item (01 Minute duration, Size 10 MB, Max 03 Videos).
